Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 pound cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and the oil is shimmering.
- Add 1 pound of cleaned and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir them around to coat them in the oil-butter mixture.
- Cook the mushrooms for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and have released most of their moisture.
- Add 2 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
- Season the mushrooms with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Cook for another 1 minute.
