Ingredients

  • 1 medium head Napa cabbage (about 1.5 lbs), chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the Napa cabbage thoroughly under cold water. Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, discarding any very thick stems.
  2. Chop the bell pepper into slices and set aside. Mince the garlic and ginger finely.
  3. In a large wok or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for about 30 seconds or until they are fragrant. Be careful not to let them burn.
  5. Add the sliced bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
  6. Add the chopped Napa cabbage to the pan. Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is wilted but still has a slight crunch.
  7. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to ensure the vegetables are coated with the sauce.
  8. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish. Serve hot.
