Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It needs to be nice and warm for our shrimp.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped oregano. Toss in the minced garlic.
- Drizzle in the olive oil and lemon juice. Give it a good stir until it all looks like a sandy little beach.
- Now, lay those lovely shrimp in a baking dish. Season them gently with salt and a dash of black pepper.
- Spoon the breadcrumb mixture over the shrimp. Spread it around so it covers ’em up nice and even.
- Pop the dish in your preheated oven. Let it bake for about 10 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the shrimp are opaque and the top is slightly golden.
- When everything’s looking just right, take it out of the oven. Sprinkle a bit of parsley over the top for a dash of green.
- Serve it up with wedges of lemon on the side. A little squeeze before you dig in will brighten things up just so.
