Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
