Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures the oven is ready and properly heated when you need it.
  2. In a large bowl, crack the 6 large eggs and add 1/4 cup of milk. Whisk together until well combined for a light, fluffy texture.
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, and 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the egg mixture. Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed.
  4. Place an oven-safe non-stick skillet on medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow the butter to melt and coat the skillet evenly.
  5. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes without stirring. This allows the bottom to set and become slightly golden.
  6. After the egg mixture has set slightly, sprinkle 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley evenly on top. Fresh herbs add color and flavor!
  7. Carefully transfer the skillet to your preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the frittata is puffed and the center is no longer jiggly. Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking.
  8. Using oven mitts, carefully remove the skillet from the oven. Allow the frittata to cool for a couple of minutes. It slides out of the pan more easily when it’s slightly cooled.
  9. Slice the Parmesan Frittata into wedges and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious homemade frittata!
