Ingredients
- 2 hake fillets (approximately 5 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, half sliced and half juiced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high, approximately 375°F.
- Rinse the hake fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. This helps the seasoning stick to the fish.
- Brush the hake fillets lightly with olive oil on both sides to prevent them from sticking to the grill.
- Season the hake with salt and black pepper on both sides. Feel free to adjust seasoning to taste.
- Place the hake fillets on the grill. Close the grill lid and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F.
- While the fish is grilling, mix the lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. This will be your finishing sauce.
- Once the hake is cooked, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving platter. Drizzle the lemon and garlic sauce over the top.
- Garnish with the lemon slices and a bit more parsley if desired, then serve immediately.
