Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons white truffle oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 ounce white truffle shavings or truffle paste (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-proof skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add the chicken breasts to the skillet.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium, and in the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth to the skillet, scraping the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon to deglaze and release any browned bits.
- Stir in the heavy cream and white truffle oil, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Spoon some of the sauce over each piece, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the skillet from the oven. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and optional white truffle shavings before serving.
