Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups snow peas, trimmed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the snow peas, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes until the snow peas are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the oyster sauce, sesame oil, and chicken broth. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Chicken with Snow Peas hot, over cooked rice or noodles if desired. Enjoy your meal!
- To prevent the chicken from sticking to the skillet, make sure it’s fully heated before adding the oil.
- Cutting the chicken into thin slices allows it to cook quickly and evenly. If the chicken is slightly frozen, it can be easier to slice.
