Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps to get a good sear and prevents steaming.
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper. Set aside on a plate.
- Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Carefully place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Allow them to cook undisturbed for about 6-8 minutes on one side.
- Using tongs, flip the chicken breasts and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for another 6-8 minutes on the other side until the chicken is fully cooked through and golden brown.
- Check for doneness by cutting a small slit into the thickest part of a breast. The juices should run clear and no pink should remain.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, stirring to combine with the browned bits left from the chicken.
- Let the balsamic mixture simmer and reduce for about 4-5 minutes until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the balsamic glaze, ensuring all sides are well covered.
- Garnish with fresh rosemary by placing the whole sprig on the chicken, allowing its flavors to infuse briefly.
- Remove the skillet from heat and rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy your Chicken with Balsamic Vinegar!
