Instructions

  1. Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps to get a good sear and prevents steaming.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper. Set aside on a plate.
  3. Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Carefully place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Allow them to cook undisturbed for about 6-8 minutes on one side.
  5. Using tongs, flip the chicken breasts and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for another 6-8 minutes on the other side until the chicken is fully cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Check for doneness by cutting a small slit into the thickest part of a breast. The juices should run clear and no pink should remain.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  8. In the same skillet, add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, stirring to combine with the browned bits left from the chicken.
  9. Let the balsamic mixture simmer and reduce for about 4-5 minutes until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
  10. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the balsamic glaze, ensuring all sides are well covered.
  11. Garnish with fresh rosemary by placing the whole sprig on the chicken, allowing its flavors to infuse briefly.
  12. Remove the skillet from heat and rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy your Chicken with Balsamic Vinegar!
