Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 8 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the turnovers with beaten egg for a golden finish.
