Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch slices
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and halved
- 8 ounces burrata cheese, drained
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 10 fresh basil leaves, roughly torn
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Brush each slice lightly with olive oil. This will help them toast nicely and become golden and crisp in the oven.
- Toast the bread in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
- After removing the bread from the oven, rub the cut side of the garlic clove gently over each toast.
- In a small bowl, combine the diced tomatoes and torn basil leaves. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, mixing well.
- Tear the burrata gently with your hands into bite-sized pieces and distribute it evenly over each toast.
- Top each toast with a spoonful of the tomato and basil mixture, making sure each bite has a bit of everything.
- Drizzle a small amount of balsamic glaze over the top of each bruschetta for a touch of sweetness that complements the creamy cheese.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the burst of flavors and textures! These are best enjoyed fresh but can be prepared slightly ahead and assembled just before serving.
